Enhancing Scientific Reporting Skills and Learning Outcomes through SAVI-Based Practical Work

Abstract


Capaian pembelajaran dan keterampilan pelaporan ilmiah merupakan salah satu komponen utama yang perlu ditingkatkan dalam pembelajaran berbasis praktik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengkaji penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran SAVI berbasis praktik terhadap keterampilan pelaporan ilmiah; (2) menganalisis disparitas keterampilan pelaporan ilmiah antara siswa yang telah dan belum menerapkan pendekatan SAVI; (3) menganalisis perbedaan capaian pembelajaran antara kedua kelompok; dan (4) mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap penerapan pendekatan tersebut. Metode quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design dipilih pada dua kelas XI di SMAN 1 Sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) aktivitas siswa dalam penerapan pendekatan SAVI tergolong sangat baik, dan keterampilan pelaporan ilmiahnya lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol; (2) tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan pelaporan ilmiah berdasarkan analisis nilai produk laporan; (3) ditemukan kesenjangan yang cukup berarti pada capaian pembelajaran siswa, sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh pemeriksaan statistik nilai ujian yang teliti. dan (4) respon siswa tergolong tinggi dalam hal motivasi, minat, dan kenyamanan belajar. Pendekatan SAVI terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kegiatan pelaporan ilmiah, meskipun hambatan fisiologis dan psikologis siswa masih perlu dipertimbangkan.
