Focus and Scope

This journal contains, review articles and research results. This journal publishes the results of research and development to BIPA, including the development of Indonesian teaching methods for foreign speakers (BIPA), and research on internationalization policy strategies in Indonesian. Besides that, this journal scope of the research includes: learning and learning Indonesian literature, both Indonesian as a first language, second language, as well as foreign languages in Indonesia and outside.

Peer Review Process

Some policies in the review of Indonesian Language Education and Literature:

  1. The reviewers will review the submitted article that follows the guidelines and template of the journal provided.
  2. The review process in this journal employs a double-blind peer review, which means that both the reviewer's and author's identities are concealed from the reviewers.
  3. In the review process, the article will be reviewed by at least two reviewers to ensure quality of the article.
  4. In the review process, the reviewers ensure the quality of the articles of their title, abstract, discussion, and conclusion. Besides, the reviewers also address the novelty and its contribution to the scientific discussion and verify the plagiarism and ethics of publication.
  5. The reviewer also provides feedback on whether the article is accepted, rejected, or needs minor or major revision.

Rights and Usage

As an open access journal:

- All articles are made available free of charge to users and institutions.

- Users are granted the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles without requiring prior permission from the publisher or authors.

Licensing and Ethical Standards

This journal adopts a Creative Commons license to protect authors’ rights while enabling wide distribution and reuse of the research, provided proper attribution is given. For more details, please refer to the specific license applied to each article.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Publication Ethics

Responsibility of Author

  1. Authors must present the result of thought or research article clearly, honestly, without plagiarism and manipulation of data in accordance with the template ILEaL.
  2. The author is responsible for the confirmation which was filed on articles that have been written.
  3. Authors must comply with the requirements of the publication of the work in the form of originality, not plagiarism, and has never been published in journals or other publications.
  4. Authors should indicate the reference of the opinions and work of others cited.
  5. Authors must write a script or articles are ethical, honest, and responsible in accordance with the applicable rules of scientific authorship.
  6. Author are prohibited from sending or publishing the same article to more than one journal or publication.
  7. Author does not mind if the manuscript editing experience without changing the substance of the article or the main idea.

Responsibility of Editor

  1. Editor responsible for drawing up a decent article published by the editorial board meeting.
  2. Editor guided by the policy of the editorial board of the journal and are limited by applicable legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism.
  3. In the process of acceptance of the article, a team of editors to use the principle of similarity of treatment.
  4. In the process of decision reviewed journals and publications (articles), the editorial team is not ethnicity, religion, race and inter-group writer.
  5. Editors and editorial team will not reveal any information about the script or articles that enter except by permission of the author.
  6. Manuscripts (articles) are not published in editions running, if they meet the eligibility and in accordance with the scope of JILEaL will published in the next edition.
  7. Manuscripts (articles) are not in accordance with the scope of ILEaL will be returned to the author.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  1. Reviewers assist the editor in making editorial decisions on manuscripts or articles that enter.
  2. Reviewers responsible for the recommendation that reviewed articles.
  3. Review the script is done objectively and supported by clear arguments.
  4. Reviewers are responsible for quotations, references and plagiarism on articles reviewed.
  5. Reviewers keep confidential information for personal gain.


 

Plagiarism Policy

Before submitting articles to reviewers, those are first checked for similarity/plagiarism tool by Plagiarism Checker X, by a member of the editorial team. The papers submitted to Indonesian Language Education and Literature must have a similarity level of less than 15%.

 

References Management

Citations and bibliography use Mendeley.

 

Fair Play

Editors do not discriminate the incoming articles. All incoming articles are treated equally regardless of race, ethnicity, and religion.

 

Correction and Retraction

Correction and Retraction Policy

The Indonesian Language Education and Literature journal is firmly committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record. To ensure this, the journal may publish Errata, Expressions of Concern, or Retraction Notices as deemed appropriate and in alignment with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Retraction Guidelines.

Types of Corrections and Retractions

1. Errata: Published to correct significant errors in articles that may affect the interpretation of the content but do not compromise the integrity of the research.

2. Expressions of Concern: Issued when there is uncertainty about the integrity or reliability of a published article and an investigation is ongoing.

3. Retraction Notices: Published to formally withdraw a paper from the scholarly record due to substantial issues such as plagiarism, unethical research practices, data fabrication, or other breaches of academic integrity.

Procedures

1. Corrections and retractions will be handled transparently and promptly.

2. Each case will be assessed individually, guided by COPE’s best practices and ethical standards.

3. The reason for issuing a correction or retraction will be clearly stated in the corresponding notice.
