KONTROVERSI DAGING SINTETIK: ANTARA KEMAJUAN TEKNOLOGI DAN ISU KEHALALAN

Abstract


Daging sintetik atau daging budidaya yang ditanam secara in-vitro dari sel hewan hidup telah dilakukan sebagai jawaban akan kebutuhan daging bagi manusia di masa mendatang, untuk mengatasi permasalahan isu lingkungan akibat industri peternakan dan isu kesehatan lainnya. Akan tetapi, adanya daging sintetik ini juga menimbulkan kontroversi di masyarakat terkait dampak negatifnya dan bagaimana status kehalalan produk daging sintetik ini. Kajian ini bertujuanuntukmengulas tentang bagaimana kajian sains dan filsafat (dari aspek asksiologi) produk daging sintetik serta isu kehalalannya. Metode Kajian dilakukan melalui literature review. Data hasil studi literatur selanjutnya dianalisis dengan teknik analisis naratif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa daging sitentik merupakan salah satu produk dari kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Penelitian tentang daging sintetik ini semakin banyak dilakukan. Namun, keberadaan daging sintetik menjadi bahasan yang sensitif berkaitan dengan isu moral dan etika di masyarakat khususnya tetang isu kehalalan.
