PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI BERVISI SETS PADA SUBKONSEP SISTEM INDERA UNTUK MELATIH KEMAMPUAN PROBLEM SOLVING SISWA DI SMA NEGERI 3 KOTA CIREBON

Abstract


The purpose from this research is to assess 1) the activity of student learning, 2 ) increasing students’ ability for solving problem, and 3 ) students’s response of studying based on SETS technic. Research carried out from the February through to March 2018 in the second half of the 2017-2018 academic year. The population of this research is student from class XI science SMAN 3 Cirebon. The sample for experiment  class consist of 45 students from class XI science 3 and sample for control class consist of 45  students class XI  science 4. The research design that is used is controlled group nonequivalet design data collection technique using some instrument such as tests, observation and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using spss 21.0 software. The conclusions from this study are: 1) student activities in the implementation of learning biology using SETS has the highest score shown by the indicator mention the related fact to the problem (69%) and lowest score shown in indicator mention the fact related to the problem (58%) for indicator student activities, experiments class had increased (5,78%) and so the control  class (5,22%). 2) there are significant differences in an increase in the problem solving students’ score among students who applied learning biology SETS and students who did not apply learning biology SETS. 3) the response from the implementation of students learning biology SETS on sub concept sensory system is 81,21% with very strong criteria.
